Another attempt...

I've spent the morning preparing for this painting....Cuba!!! if i can't see sunny blue skies and feel warm breezes, god damn it, i'll imagine i'm back in Cuba!!!

This will be my first attempt at something architectural....it took me a long time to get lines and dimension sort of in the right place....this of course is the under painting, and i'm still not used to dealing with this starting place! it all looks so bright and colourful, when in fact the scene will be much quieter!

Listening to Jesse Cook while painting....just the right music !

I have to wait now for the under painting to dry before i can start adding pastels....off for lunch and a walk!
It is lovely to have some space for painting!
