The Lozarithm Lens

By Lozarithm

Mono Monday (15th April 2024)

I have had this ali baba probably since the sixties when my mother gave it to me. If you are a cat owner you soon learn that you can't have nice things, because they become repurposed by your overlords, in this case for use as a scratching post and claw-sharpener by many cats over the years.

This is for JohnEdward's Mono Monday challenge on the theme of 'Texture'. The original shot was first converted to black and white and then turned into a sepia approximation of its original colour.

I have a blip for Sunday and I try not to blip out of sequence, but my next chance to post won't be until Wednesday, possibly too late for the challenge. With thanks to JohnEdward for hosting.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Galen Ayers and Paul Simonon - Room At The Top (recorded January 2023, Deia, Mallorca)
Galen Ayers (daughter of Kevin Ayers) and Paul Simonon (of the Clash) from their 2023 album Can We Do Tomorrow Another Day?  It's been a year since that album came out and recently they've been on the radio promoting some live gigs, but no news of a new album. I heard them perform this live on Riley & Coe on 6 Music a week or so ago.
