Atomium

We worked most of today, which went pretty well, apart from one hour when both of us had Teams meetings. But as mine was with some colleagues, I left the studio apartment to the Minx and took a wander around the local streets, resisting the temptation to sit in the sun at a table outside a bar and enjoy a beer whilst discussing data security.

But for our evening, the Minx had once again stared down her dislike of heights and booked a table for dinner at the restaurant in the Atomium.

Despite being built nearly seventy years ago, it still looks wonderfully futuristic and very impressive as you walk up the road towards it.

The restaurant is reached by an elevator, which our charming guide introduced as "The fastest elevator in the world... in 1958!"

The restaurant was lovely, as was the food, and the views were incredible. I have just about managed to capture a sense of them in my Extra.
