Lousewort

Gone are the bright pink petals but still beautiful in close up.
Rain with a cold wind accompanied Indie & myself on this mornings walkabout. The heath completely sodden again but we still love it.
Mum & I are currently working on a circular jigsaw puzzle, so spent an hour chatting & puzzling before making Mum's lunch. A pie with Majorca new potatoes, sounded tempting but was'nt feeling the Spanish vibe as I cooked them along with fresh carrots & broccoli.
Jane arrived at 12.45 so off we went to Parke for a lunchtime catchup. Soup of the day was our choice, - Leek & potato. Not sure at what stage the leek or potato joined the party but both totally missing in flavour from our very unappetising gret/green bowls. 3 soggy croutons?, & a pesto drizzle did'nt impress either. We had a good catch up, that was good. She's been home for 9 weeks sorting out care packages for her elderly parents, returning to Barbados where she has lived for many years on Saturday.
Back home, hubby & I waited for the rain to stop before taking a short walk along Lawn Drive. Posture, posture, posture. :-)
