Independence Day, 2013

It's very late, so this needs to be brief:

Rich and I arrived early enough to secure a very nice spot for viewing the fireworks show from the lawn at Bellingham's Zuanich Point Park. Live music, and aromas from various barbecue vendors filled the air. Today wasn't nearly as warm and toasty as it was earlier in the week, but was, nevertheless a very beautiful day to be out at the park.

As the sun went down, there was a definite chill in the air. Blankets, parkas and heavy sleeping bags abounded (I know, parkas in July?) Glow in the dark light saber toys were everywhere and kept most of the children entertained while we waited for the show to begin.
