A Poetic Caprice

Of setting off along the path
Of "some amusing fantasies"
I’ve been accused of late
But is a poetic megrim so bad?

All of these strange words
Just set my mind racing
Down the paths of fun,
Fantasy and humour.

For instance today's word,
With its varied definitions,
Simply leaves me a migraine
And in thoroughly low spirits.

But I won’t let it get me down,
I'll continue to write my way
Until I realise it's just rubbish,
And then I'll hang up my pen!
