Honeymoon Lookout

If there is anything that Blue Mountains tourism strives to be, it is "quaint". You might as well call it "doily central", so help me. 

Honeymoon Lookout in Katoomba is one of several places that allude to romantic moments of yesteryear. Indeed, for many many years (especially before the war) the mountains were THE honeymoon destination for newlywed Sydneysiders, like my parents.  

These days, fashionable honeymoons usually involve international travel, but if you just want to soak up large doses of nostalgia, Blue Mountains' bed & breakfasts do their best to reflect that golden age of guest houses and bygone innocence

Aaaanyway, here I am looking through the trees across the intervening canyon toward Leura ... as so many honeymooners once must have done.
