Haunts and Gromits

Spent today revisiting lots of my old haunts in Bristol - lots of places and shops have changed out of all recognition, but others remarkably, after over 30 years, still appear to be pretty much unchanged.

For two years (late 1979 to mid 1981) I walked down Whiteladies Road to lectures - certainly would be a different experience these days and there would be lots more choices for buying coffee on the way.

One feature that wasn't present then were the profusion of Gromits that currently decorate the streets of Bristol.
