Another walk in Epping Forest
Today, it being the last of very warm days for a while, we took a walk in a cool part of Epping Forest, Strawberry Hill. At the pond next to the car park a clearing in the forest that you now have to pay for using, there were some juvenile mallards plus Mrs Mallard with two tiny ducklings, all very hungry and grateful for our (officially approved) duck food. Pictured is one of the two tiny ducklings making his way towards the food.
We walked on and around the main pond at Strawberry Hill which I have photographed a number of times, where frankly, the first waterfowl that we encountered were completely uninterested in our food offerings. I took a few photos, concentrating mainly on getting around the rather uneven surface sans my 'emotional support stick' which I did! Yay!
In Extras is a shot of the pond at Strawberry Hill: the photo to which there is a link, was taken 11 years ago!
