Town meets Country

From the Kyber Field of Mugdock Country Park there's this wonderful vista south to Glasgow. In the enlarged view you should be able to make out Glasgow University tower just to the right of the three white high rise flats.

It's been another perfect summer's day. The cattle are happily chewing the cud and the sheep in the main are having a lie down - probably the shock of being recently shorn! On the crest of the distant hills you may be able to make out the wind turbines which increasingly are providing our electricity.

This was the first picture I took today. Others followed as I took a stroll down to the ruined Craigend Castle. However I may not have the opportunity again to shoot this scene with the animals so well positioned in the field and the day so splendid. To the original I added a very light crosshatch filter.
