Can you see what it is yet???
Thick fog this morning which turned into mist, the sun eventually bursting through around 2pm. It was cool enough at first to do chores, damn, but they had to be done. This was followed by a bit of relaxing down by the pond and a bit of genteel gardening. Broadbeans, runner beans, spinach, redcurrants, blackcurrants and the firstt of the blueberries picked. Later I headed off for a swim. The tide was way out and it was more like a seaweed bath when I got there, but seaweed baths are good. This large jelly fish, a compass I think, was beached but rather magnificent with it's strong colours and markings. The jury is out as to whether it stings or not but it had impressive tentacles.
There is a real holiday feel around at the moment- cars abandoned for a bit of random swimming, kayakers, campers, cyclists and the pubs are packed with pink people.
And happy Bastille Day to all French blippers.
