After a good night's sleep, Katie was extremely excited to wake up to baby Anna in the house. She was up before Anna so spent some time playing in the wrap-hammock that we had made the previous night to break in our friends' new wrap. Katie took rather a long time to eat her breakfast as a result because she was wanting to wait for her.

After breakfast, Katie wanted to go out somewhere so we took her to the park down the street. Bless her, it was a bit too hot for the baby so Katie and I played some more before going for an ice cream. The water in the paddling pool that I had filled before we left was warm by then and Katie spent a lot of the day in there.

Mid afternoon, friends of all of ours came round to see us. The last time we saw them, they came to stay with us when their daughter was 5months old. She's 20months old now and very adorable! She had a bit of a splash in the pool with Katie, while baby Anna watched from her blanket in the shade. They all played inside for a nice while too.

When they'd gone, Katie and I had to go into town to buy some new shoes for her for the Christening we're going to at the weekend. She fell asleep in the wrap, which is rarely good news that late in the day, and proved to be unhelpful today. She woke up quite happily though, especially when a butterfly landed on her head! She came home with christening shoes, a very cute pair of sandals and some "to grow into" shoes too!
