It's a day for.......
......rootling through old photos and 35mm slides (the weather's naff, what with all that thunder and hail and stuff earlier) then transferring some of them to digital before they fade away to nothing and memories are lost.....so, that's Michael up there (an old school friend of the late hubbies who emigrated to Canada in his teens....he came over for our wedding to be best man but his plane was delayed and my Dad had to stand in at the last minute, but he made up for it by staying on for a year.....he called it his 'sabbatical'), he wrote on the back "Me and my 8ft plywood imitation girlfriend - not too much communication - but, beggars can't be choosers" sometime in the 70's......happy days......y'know he would have made a great blipper if he was still with us, every letter from him came with a handful of photos 'with commentary' on the back.......
