Summer Starts Today

Well, apart from the multiple heavy downpours that is.

Been a funny old day:

- sent a text message out to all parents with a widely misinterpreted [attempted] humorous comment about the weather conditions, many children turned up with their swimming kits :-|

- said goodbye to half my class on their last day at our school

- got a wee bit emotional

- got frustrated as the flooring we ordered and paid for a month ago still hasn't turned up; Mrs H discovered that they had amended it onto a previously closed order so it is nowhere near close to getting shipped!!!!! Builder is here now ready to fit too. Bloody hell.

- sports day was cancelled due to intermittent, but heavy deluges (linked to text message mix-up situation)

- had a very nice bite to eat out after work with colleagues

- home to chaos downstairs due to building work.

I am hiding in my bedroom to escape it all. iPad + Dexter I think to get through this sticky, wet heat and mild endoftermitis. Mrs H is continuing with stripping. Just the wallpaper unfortunately. I've no energy or inclination to join in. With the wallpaper that is.
