All The Small Things #14 (Chomp II)
Things I didn't know yesterday that I know now ...
The Caterpillar I blipped yesterday I thought was a moth species after a bit of googling. It turns out it is neither moth or butterfly, but that of the Rose Sawfly. That will be the unknown insect I blipped on the 30th June! It had clearly been laying his eggs on the rose bush just before or after I took that shot.
I had no idea that butterflies and moths didn't have exclusivity on having caterpillars as their pupae stage. I do enjoy the slide along the learning curve sometimes don't you?
