Warkworth Castle

Yes, I know it is another castle ... there are a lot of them around here!

Met Elspeth for the first time and we had a lovely day round Warkworth. We started at the castle, where there was also a re-enactment of the battle of Flodden, although it was more of a castle murder mystery. Lots of characters around but I'm not great with people shots and I much preferred this one of the castle.

After a picnic lunch by the river we walked down to and along the beach. It was another glorious day and the sky was stunning. The sun was also highlighting some wonderful patterns in the sand. Thanks for a lovely day Elspeth.

I can't believe how lucky I have been with the weather. Last Tuesday the forecast was rain for the rest of the week but I've managed to be out in glorious sun most days. Hope it continues for the weekend.
