The sun(flower) in Splendour
I can't seem to escape Yorkist symbolism at the moment, my sunflowers have repaid the TLC lavished on them with these rather glorious blooms so while my white roses uphold the House of York at the back of the house the sun in splendour proclaims allegiance to Edward IV at the front! Of course this is mere historical sympathy - as a Scot the whole bunch of them were enemies, all this taking place while James II and then James III were on the Scottish throne.
Thank you for your kind comments yesterday, I apologise for introducing a less than positive note but please be assured it was not a cry of despair, merely a moment of clarity.
