Dribs and Drabs of 2014

Cloud Catcher

Yesterday was a very busy day. We started by taking the dogs to the quarry.

We then drove to the south shore to take the Oak Island tour. Yesterday's blip will give some insight as to why...

We then put the canine fur children to bed and headed into Halifax for dinner, a tour around the busker festival (we're going back there today!!!!), and then we watched the Halifax Natal Days fireworks that were set off from the MacDonald Bridge.

When all was said and done I had >250 images on my D300. Tough choice to pick just one. Surprisingly this one won out. I already blipped dog action, the tour was just north of a snore-bore, and peppered with enough uninterested, under-parented (interpret that as you see fit...) children that my only thoughts were of "Wow am I ever glad I decided to never have kids..." I'm not a dinner plate blipper, and the fireworks were fantastic, but upon editing I see that there's a dead spot in almost every pic where something obviously malfunctioned and the canister(s) didn't go off. Talk about a "type-A" blipper...

So, I had spent a portion of the dog run capturing the many plants in bloom against the beautiful blue sky. This was my fav of the bunch, and ultimately my fav of the day. This blip thing is really helping me to truly think about what I post, even after having 100's to choose from.
