Super 8 memories

One of the treasures yielded by the clear up in my mother's house was this box of cine films. Shot between 1968 and 1979, they capture some key moments in family lfe. I can't have seen them for around 30 years: the projector was always breaking, or else the films tore.

So I have brought them back to Stroud and have sent one off (our own Irish version of the Highland Games, c.1973 ) for a free trial conversion to DVD. The company also cleans the films and transfers them, frame by frame. The films and DVD are returned.

I can't wait!


My mother shot most of the films, and I recall there was a lot of overexposure in the early ones, which is why I've gone for the same look in this shot.
