Storms over EPCOT
Epcot today
Started the day off with a fast pass for Soarin’ and then over for a talk the Crush. Very good interactive show with the turtle dude. Next stop was the Living with the land ride. Ok but educational not so much fun.
Met up with J's parents and had a wonder around the different worlds. Stopped off for lunch at the Tangerine Cafe.
Popped into Japan then the Reflections of China show. Next up was Norway and the Maelstrom ride before heading over to Soarin' to use the fast pass. Great ride but not if you don't like heights.
After that was the Orange version of Mission: Space. A good ride but not a scary or upsetting as the countless warnings made out. After that it was the finding Nemo show.
Met up with the Gatton side of the family when they finally arrived and the kids had great fun doing Agent P's mission in the UK.
Just enough time to have dinner in Japan before finding a spot for the fireworks. I was left holding a space for the others. J came back with a frozen Grand Mainer slush puppy. There was a storm brewing in the distance as we waited. Lucky enough to get a great shot of the lightening before the fireworks started.
We watched the fireworks with her parents while the others left us to go and do finding Nemo.
The fireworks show is meant to show the creation of the world with the big bang at the beginning. A globe then comes across the water as the colours change from red to blue depicting the earth cooling and maturing into what we know today. It then shows significant events and people through the centuries projected onto the different continents before ending in a big firework crescendo.
Great place to go for a wonder and some food in the evening.
