Digital Diet
I’m getting my last blip for a while in as we have a busy day ahead of us.
I’m about to try and “clear my desk” at work before a well earned two week break and Soozy is making a start to the packing etc.
The reason for the unusual title “digital diet” is the cottage which will be our home for the next week has no internet connection. I know there are wifi hotspots and internet cafes and all manor of solutions to this situation, but I was talking to Soozy last week and suggested it might be an interesting experiment to limit our digital lives for the duration of the week in Cornwall.
So there will be no social media, just real connections with people, no kindle, just a couple of paperpacks, planning and navigation will be predominantly with a paper OS map of the area and last but definitely not least…no digital cameras!
I’m taking my Bronica medium format for any special landscapes I want to shoot, but this old Canon rangefinder will be my weapon of choice for most situations.
Hopefully there will be some film back blips in a week or so.
