..at m and l's house. A house concert. 40 in attendance for the wonderful Yvonne Lyon. Go on, Google her..

Beautiful music, presented perfectly for the venue. A curry for starters, one of mikes best (he has a passion for making curry), then some music. A break, and some sweet, and then back to the music.

Lots of friends present, a great night..

Also been to an event in the village hall, The Scourie Detectives. A showcase for the Village, with guided walks on Geology, Wild flowers (I now recognise eyebright, three heathers, cat's ear hawkweed, and tormentil!). Got soaked on one side (the back) in a heavy shower, but dried out before we got back. Te event was poorly attended, with two holidaying families, and a few locals. Had lots of veg left at the end, which we'll have to preserve somehow..

Was busy yesterday harvesting for this, the hotel, and a couple of local veg boxes..

Deer. The deer have found the fruit trees. The (unripe) apples have gone, and all the young shoots have been eaten. I've no rifle (the cheap option), so may have to fence them out (the expensive option)..
