£42 worth of school shoes.

Hopefully these shoes are the last ever item of school uniform we will have to buy. It all started 18 years ago and I dread to think how much has been spent.

Learned a long time ago to bite the bullet and get the shoes from Clarks. The alternative is to buy cheap dolly shoes for a tenner every fortnight.

Daughter's choice today surprised me. They are what my mum would call sensible shoes. There was a trend for this type of shoe in the late 70's/early 80's but with enormous heels. They were called granny shoes, needless to say, I wasn't allowed them!
