Timothy House Playground

We arrived at Timothy House yesterday. The 17 kids who call this place home come from tough backgrounds. Some with homes, some without. The beautiful thing was seeing the kids playing together, acting like kids again. They really enjoyed hanging out with the university students who came to visit.

Located on the border of a national park, Timothy House is surrounded by beautiful, wild jungle. Elephants often come out at night looking for food. We saw a couple along the road but didn't stay long because they are known for making trouble.

Not long ago, an elephant broke through a window at Timothy House to get to a 50 kilo bag of rice. The elephant didn't listen to Mom's hollering, so she came out and whacked it on the side with a broom. The elephant was so startled it hit its head on the ceiling, making a big hole. Then it made its way back into the jungle.
