The Busker

This guy had such a wonderful voice that I was compelled to stop for a while and listen to him sing. He wasn't doing the business from passers-by that he deserved, everyone seeming to be in too much of a hurry. I had to ask his name and shake his hand before moving on. I don't think he finds too many people actually stopping to hear his music. "I'm not used to having an audience," he said. Good luck to you Ruben.

Just another dull Monday at the office and resting the legs today after the exertions of the weekend - so keeping it short tonight. To everyone's relief! I'm all thought out!

I do just have to mention that I've had the Arctic Monkeys' new album on continuous play this evening. Alex Turner's wordplay and lyricism and voice just blows me away. AM is yet another triumph. They just keep delivering and maturing all the time. They are the Beatles of this generation, with Turner as similarly touched by genius as Lennon.

Finally, many thanks to all those who responded to yesterday's blip - and so intelligently. I've got a few comments to return now. I really appreciate your wisdom.
