Abseiling for a Gromit

Regular readers will be aware of our interest in the Gromit Unleashed initiative in Bristol and the fact that we're trying to raise funds that will be used to bid for a Gromit in the upcoming auction (or simply be donated to Bristol Children's Hospital). Either way the funds will end up with the hospital so all good.

Today I (Chris) joined a group of 14 other work colleagues to abseil down the side of Avon Gorge (just up the road from the Clifton Suspension Bridge). We had been sponsored and completing todays challenge has already raised well over £1,000 to add to the total funds (which now exceed £10,000!). I had a special responsibility of doing the abseil dressed in a Gromit suit. Check out the portfolio shot for just how ridiculous I looked.

Despite having planned to spend the whole weekend in Swansea with a friend (the lovely Clare), Annie popped back to Bristol to support and cheer us on which was lovely. All in all a good day.
