Another Manic Friday

Another one to tick off my bucket list, and what an event to tick off…..the Manic Street Preachers live!

This was their first gig on the new tour to promote their new album, Rewind the Film, and it was a bit of a homecoming for the boys as Newport is not too far from home for them. And what a gig it was, it was absobloomingutely bloody awesome!

They played for about two hours, mixing their great anthem hits with stuff off the new album, and the Newport Centre was just rocking! It was certainly an experience I’ll never forget, another great memory for a great year!

Cameras weren’t allowed into the gig, only camera phones and as my work phone is a crappy one from the ark I had no opportunities to take any photos. Talking of which why would you go to a gig and then spend most of the gig holding your bloody iPhone/iPad up to record the gig? Enjoy it for crying out loud, it’s about experiencing the now!
