Mr hazelh's handiwork
After painting the outside of our windows in July, Mr hazelh has made a start on the inside. It's a very long job, which begins with scraping off the old paint. He also has to be very careful with all the individual window panes. If you look carefully at this one you can see the "fault" in the glass (over the middle step), which is an indication of just how old it must be.
We had hoped to spend more time in Dumfries and Galloway today, but came home early because I have yet another cold. It's my third one since I first fell ill on Thursday 30th August. I have no idea what I have done to deserve this, but it is extremely poor timing at the start of the new academic year. It also means that I am not getting any real exercise :-(
