Recovered Pillar

I am restoring this pillar so that it can be used on a porch I've been restoring. One of the three on the porch is a replacement that does not match the others, though it's a fair try. This pillar was rescued from a trash heap when someone on the same street was clearing out the basement, having no use for the thing anymore.

Originally it was canary yellow with a sky blue band at the top, but the capital was some color or colors that I can't determine.

The column is solid, made from two hardwood planks, fixed together before it was turned. There is no real damage to the thing. This will make plenty of difference to the front of my friends' house.

Have heat gun & scraper, will travel!
