Caerphilly Mountain Maniac!!

Today me and hubby went over to Caerphilly Mountain to watch the Tour of Britain. When we left the house the weather was awful, tipping down with rain, so we headed out in the car wearing all our wet weather gear. It was still very grey and wet when we got there and appeared to be in for the day but within half an hour the rain stopped and the sun started to come out. It also got really warm so had to strip all the waterproofs! The mountain was packed with people and the atmosphere was brilliant. Opposite us were members of a mountain bike club and their banter was absolutely hilarious. Each time the recreational cyclists went the very steep hill before the race, everybody cheered them on to get up the hill. It was great! Finally the professional riders began their ascent and it was amazing to witness and be so close to the riders. Got to see Wiggo, Cav and Quintana amongst all the other riders. The other added bonus was bumping into my lovely friends WelshSi and his better half Rosie!! ;-)) It was thanks to him I found Blipfoto after firstly becoming friends with the both of them through twitter. It was great to see them.
