Harvest Moon

The Harvest Moon appears around the end of growing season and the light was used by farmers many moons ago (sorry - couldn't resist) to pick late season crops.

We were fortunate in the DC area to see the brilliant and large moon rise Wednesday evening and then see it set this morning. This picture was taken about 4:30 AM.
