Hospital Day 7: Transfer
A backblip.. Still not feeling well enough, but I thought I might as well have something to turn my attention to so I dont have to think of the situation I'm in.. A lady from the Vascular Access Team finally came today to sort out the blocked PICC line. And all she had to do was to get a big empty syringe and kept popping it, flushed with saline, still blocked, popped with the big syringe several times aagain and the second time she flushed with saline it went right through.. Easy! As easy as it is to admit, "Sorry, I havent had any training with PICC lines, shall we wait til we can contact someone who'll know how to osort it out.." And adding insult to injury.. Anyway, got the news that Weston Park had a unit available and waiting for me so I got transferred. That was a relief. There are some good people being left behind but I was glad to be going.. The Paramedics were lovely lads, they got me laughing despite my condition. Soon as we got to Weston Park, everyone was lovely and attentive to needs, getting a lot done in a few minutes so I was quite confident it wouldnt be as bad as Rotherham.
Hope everyone's doing well and hugs and kisses to all! c",)
Keep smiling y'all!
P.S.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude for everyone's kind and warm thoughts and words, good vibes and especially prayers for me.. Believe me, they mean so much to me.. Even the tiniest thoughts and prayers said in earmest is like one tiny candle that when lighted up, illuminates the room.. All your prayers and thoughts put together makes this dark and dim moment in my life seem brighter inspite of.. Thank you so, so much!
