My generosity is not unlimited!!

Hundreds of caterpillars have chomped their way through one Berberis thunbergii “Aurea” and stripped it bare. They are now working their way along the neighbouring bushes.

I feel that I should not interfere with nature’s cycle, but I do want some foliage left on the bush!! So after this blip session I got the spray out. Not all caterpillars will have been killed, but the balance has been corrected.

D has returned home. It was a beautiful sunny morning so I spent several hours planting up the spring bulbs, accompanied by several of the little birds looking for tasty morsels!!
