Friday: Portland

We left Yachats this morning and so far it has been the hardest place to tear ourselves away from.  It is definitely on our 'to return to' list.  

Luckily we met a couple from Eastern Oregon on our walk this morning who recommended a much better route to Portland (our next destination) than that recommended by the Sat Nav so we were lucky enough to drive through some lovely autumnal coloured countryside.

And now in Portland for the next couple of days.  A beautifully laid-back city.  And no trip to Portland would be complete without dinner with the very special Kendall, a blip meet I have been looking forward to for such a long time.  More of that tomorrow, but, suffice to say, Kendall is everything we know her to be from her wonderful journal.........
