Backblipped 7th October

Got up reasonably early to do last bits of final packing and managed to get away by 10.30am - the earliest I think we've ever managed when going away!

And had a good drive down to Cornwall and our holiday cottage in Trelowarren - only took 4 hours which was great though it was slightly sad seeing the weather transform from glorious sunshine to grey and rain!

Feels good to back though - our fourth time here - and it really is ace. And getting there that bit earlier meant we had time to unpack, have a wee wander round the woods (very muddy) and a wee swim in the outdoor ozone pool (very cold as the heating has broken!) before settling down to scrabble, a log fire, steaks, wine and a film.

Perfect start to our week away!

And well done to my wee sis - Berlin marathon in 4 hours 8 minutes!
