Schlafentzug
Sleep deprivation
Day 3 of our pilgrimage to Altötting. After another too short 2 hours of sleep we strated today at 4:30 in the morning at Neumarkt-Sankt Veit. It's the last leg of the walk. The sleep deprivation slowly takes its toll: I fell asleep while walking...
The blip shows the final destination of the pilgrimage: Basilica St. Anna in Altötting, where the final church service of the pilgrimage takes place. The church fits 8,000 people and was built 1910-1912. And Laura in the left lower corner again.
Fun fact: the moment we reached the square in front of the church the sun broke through the clouds.
Roundup of Day 3:
*26 kilometers of walk (approximately this way)
*0 blisters (or other insuries)
*2 hour of sleep
*temperatures as low as 6°C
*0 wheat beers
*0 Ramazotti
*0 glasses of wine
*8 rosaries prayed (you see the number increases with my increased level of suffering)
Today was also the last day of Oktoberfest, the biggest beer festival in the world. Before I went on the pilgrimage I made a 13 days series, starting here.
