One -Upmanship

This fine specimen Mr Flum's mother gave me some years ago.

It was decidedly wobbly in the handle and knob department, had been noticeably squashed and needed a good polish, but she said she thought I'd like it.

It languished in a corner, gathering dust until my eBay purchase of one like my family teapot.

Not to be outdone, Mr Flum decided to sort the handles and to polish it up and use it for everyday, casting aside the Piquot Ware and my little treasure.

But I have the last laugh as this is too big for the teacosy.
