Inverness to Laide, North west Scotland
This morning my friend and i flew from a very grey and drizzly Birmingham to Inverness and landed in glorious sunshine with clear blue skies an hour later. After picking up a hire car and buying for provisions we drove up to Laide near Gairloch stopping many times to take photo's of beautiful hillside reflections in the lake and pulled over in many of the passing places to admire the scenery. What a journey and what scenery. Definitely best viewed in large.
The cottage we arrived at was very basic, but since we hadn't had to pay for it, and given it's beautiful location, it was quickly forgiven and we sat eating Lorne sausage sandwiches with a bottle of red in candlelight. Perfect. :-)
