Classic Antique

Such a relaxed Friday....just as it should be!

No real committment until 3pm when the Classic Car Parade began its 43km drive around the outskirts of the city. Unfortunately the build up of traffic meant GK's antique classic Volvo became the focus of attention as we sat it out in the "4 lanes into 1" jam around Trade Centre roundabout! It helped that we were awaiting our turn alongside this magnificent specimen! Here

After eventually finding a parking space, we walked along the boulevard and alighted upon this amazing apparition....I've changed its colour to make it appear as a real antique. It was Fire Engine red!!

A few more visions and a spectacular walk through the Downtown Dubai area as the sun set over the fountain; an indulgent moment sipping Italian coffee in this newly opened restuarant come speciality store for all things Eataly, before finally heading home for a quiet evening at the 'movies' watching The Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency. If you have never seen it.....its a must....such lighthearted entertainment to round off such a perfect day.
