Autumn Carpet
I love Autumn in the park; the leaves a vibrant hue of oranges, browns and reds form a carpet on the ground.
Today Graham and I visited Pype Hayes Park, I've blipped the park before and commented on how little we make use of this wonderful space despite it being on our doorstep. But today we were on a mission!
Every year when we decorate the house, I get out the artificial Christmas tree from the loft. I hate it. I hate its immitiation branches. I hate its fake foliage. This year we have decided to make our own tree and we scoured the park for an appropriate fallen branch. We cast aside some which were to small and others which were too spindley and settled on a large branch with an array of spreading twigs. Perfect! graham carried it home dutifully and it is now drying out in the garage to be sprayed and decorated nearer the time!
A beautiful Birmingham day, and a little nearer to the Christmas festivities!
