Hop Gardens near Favershsm

A spectacular day out that we'd been promising ourselves if we got the chance before Christmas. Last year at this time we walked out along Faversham Creek on a beautiful sunny day and then went to the cafe at Macknade's Farm Shop for lunch.

Lunch then, as today consisted of a 7 meat platter and a 5 cheese platter which we shared between us. Thus year's walk was longer, a circuit of over 5 miles, finishing up along the creek back into Faversham and was also in lovely weather.

Did a bit of Christmas shopping in Macknade's to create hampers of Kentish foods. Got to find some Kentish wine to add to the hamper. Looking forward to tasting wines at local vineyards to find the right one!

All in all it was one of those "days of days" even if I did have to go to a school Governors meeting in the evening.
