Apparently my Great grandfather was an ex-"Bog-Trotter".
Some time ago I chopped the 2nd Orchid.
"They" tell us that, if you behead them while there's still a viable flower or two you may get a second flowering from the same stalk.
I duly beheaded #1 which grew about 1-2" of growth and went on strike.
#2 fared better and is still growing it's 2nd flush, at the top of one of its stalks.
As they don't get a vast amount of TLC the watering is sparse.
I saw the growth of the "red" one, decided I'd better water them both and discovered the growth from the bottom of the "green" one.
