The Independence Day Party in Tampere

Today our country has 96th independence day.
As the castle of the president of Finland in Helsinki is under renovation, the big Independence Day Party of Mr President Niinistö has now moved to Tampere and to Tampere-hall (huge white house behind the policemen).

There is so many collaques and cooperatives of the president and all the members of covernment of Finland in Tampere now, that there is also top security on in the city right now. We took a couple of walks in the centre of the city today - watched the fireworks also - and saw so many policemen, that I really never have seen in my life in one city...

Some of them had policehorses with them. There is only 8 horse powered policemen in Finland altogheter - normally none of them are in Tampere, but today six of them were here - that the blip was easy to choose today. So many families were with us just to wonder about the high and brave, relaxed horses...

I catch you up later in the evening, or tomorrow, as I now have to take a look of the President's Independence Party - my dear hubby and many of my friends from work (from Tampere) are making the show of the evening true for television audience - and the show will be different as normal - so I'll enjoy my evening now watching television. Exceptionally so.

additional note: there had been some riots near Tampere-hall today, in the park we were earlier, some idiots wearing masks...here is some link. . I was happy to leave early from the park...

Have a nice weekend, all!
Susanna
