Parsley Bay

This delightful suspension bridge across Parsley Bay was built over a hundred years ago in 1910 at a cost of 500 pounds.

For nearly 30 years a group of us head to the reserve at Parsley Bay on the first Saturday in December for breakfast. We arrive at 8am and commence proceedings with a glass or two of bubbly (with strawberry); then eggs and bacon followed by croissants with lashings of jam and cream. We finish with brewed coffee. Of course we then need some exercise so we take a brief walk up onto the bridge. What is amazing is that there are no other picnickers for quite a while.
