Suspicious character on West Hill, Corfe Castle
What on earth was this man doing early this morning?
He clearly had a piece of equipment mounted on a tripod, with which he was periodically taking readings of some sort.
But the weather was awful. Thick mist was swirling around in the valley below, and at times you could hardly even see the top of the ruined (and in some peoples' view, rather unsightly) castle. And the village had disappeared from sight altogether. Nothing of interest there, then.
So he must have been interested for some reason in the hills beyond the castle. Or perhaps he was trying to see the Isle of Wight, still further away.
