Wet start to the day!

Geoff left for work at 6.45 this morning, around 7.00 he was back, soaking wet, he drove into some water thought it looked a bit deep and as he was about to reverse back out of it the bank of the stream broke and the water surrounded his car!

I woke Tim up threw him some old clothes and a pair of wellies, I put on my most glamourous outfit, leegings with holes in and some bright white trainers I've never worn, because they are so bright, we took my car down to block the lane and give us some light.

One thing I hadn't told Tim was that the wellies wouldn't stop him from getting wet, to get to the car the water was up to our thighs. We pushed it out to shallower water we couldn't get it completely out as it started to get deeper and the steering lock was on so the direction we could go in was limited.

The blip is of Tim and Geoff before I let them into the house!

All dry now, phoned the AA, waiting for them to come out, Geoff has gone out to let the neighbours know and to check that the other end of the lane is ok so that the AA can get here and we can get out.

Depends what happens but I will have to change all the details for the car park at Heathrow if they can't fix it today. Such fun!

p.s. should never let Geoff out in bad weather, this is the third time something has happened, one Christmas he popped out in my car and wrote it off, on some ice, second time he hit some ice and broke his alloy on the kerb outside The Cricketers and then today.......
