If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, doesn't it just lie there and rot?

A couple of weeks ago my mum called to tell me that in the gales one of their tallest trees had come down, fortunately landing between their house and the neighbours at the bottom of the drive.

Nobody heard it fall.

It's absolutely enormous and it's taken over the garden. The tree felling men are trying to chop it up but, at this rate, they'll still be here next Christmas.

My parents had just dismantled the old shed, had an expensive new one built in its place, and filled if with stuff that lives in a shed. Then, SQuiSh!

On the plus side, they have a fancy new log burner in the house ... I'm not sure they will ever run out!
