Childhood home.

When you finally go back to your old home, you find it wasn't the old home you missed but your childhood.

-- Sam Ewing

I was reading a book today. The last thing I expected was to see the name of the town I grew up in. It was a bit of a strange feeling. My parents don't live there anymore so I haven't been there in years. There was a lot I didn't like about living there, mostly the stark contrast between the poorer areas and the pockets of vast wealth. It seemed unfair, and I think it says a lot about the place that George Osborne is now the MP there (and I don't mean anything good!) I never really felt like I belonged. But ... it was the only home I ever knew until I moved away at 18, so it'll always be special for me. Seeing it named was a proper clash of reality and fiction!
