Enterprise Day 1.

Today was Day 1 of our two-day intensive, building-wide, annual work experience project, Enterprise, which involves nearly 60 young people in S5 & S6 working across 10 departments with nearly 30 members of staff, to learn, share and create work inspired by our current festive production of The BFG.

Following application, shortlist and interview, the young people were assigned to a department, giving then the opportunity to gain skills, develop friendships, and to find out about the pathways in to their area of interest. Departments include: Acting, Costume Design, Creative Learning, Dance, Directing, Lighting Design, Scenic Design, Sound Design, Stage Management and Press, Media and Marketing.

Day 1 was incredibly busy but successful, despite the gales closing all the bridges and several members of key staff battling the weather to make it in.

I took this photo during one of the sessions with our young Press, Media and Marketing team as they designed, shot and edited a poster campaign to advertise their version of The BFG.
