I have been wanting to get a decent photo of one of these for a while but they are so small and rushy I find it difficult to get a properly clear one. A shame it wasn't standing against a more attractive background but really, it is mud or nothing as they spend their time dabbing for invertebrates or flying off just as I get the camera on them.

Interestingly, these little birds migrate a little in winter, they move from inland to the coast so if you live inland and lose your Grey Wagtails in winter, that is why!
